[Chang shrugs at that, while he doesn't mind the plunder, except when it involves Spanish vessels, he also likes a bit of gossip when he does port.] A taste of home, perhaps.

[Chang gives a amused sort of huff, before he deactivates the channel and heads for the Lash. He looks about the inn to see if Dragos is there.]

[Dragos is already there, at a two-man table, not drinking yet, but looking around hopefully for someone to flirt with.]

[Chang waves for a waitress as he sits across from him.]

[Chang lets out an amused grunt.] I try. [He indicates the crowd.] Any fortune?

Just a couple of very charming witches who...well...do you know how sometimes all a man is to a woman is a friend even though he wishes to be something else entirely?

[Snort.] Perhaps, sir, you should recognise that a woman is used to man being more clear with his intentions?

Hah! Ahah! Yes, you have a point. [He looks up as the barmaid wanders up to take their orders and put in for a pint, then glances at his friend.]

[Chang orders a whiskey, smiling at her and getting a smile back.]

Oh well. I am certain I will sort this all out some day soon. [Like maybe if he stops going to witches for his problem and considers, you know, dating one of them.]

There's a new bookseller in town.

I'm certain you will. [Supportive, if slightly unconvinced.]

Hmm? [Chang is only half interested. It's not like he doesn't enjoy a good read, it that whether or not there is one or fifty bookshops, the supply lines are going to be as iffy.]

I do not yet know if they are selling captured libraries or simple trash, but I am willing to scout for you. I have the time. [When he's not in the midst of a grand romantic schmoop.]
