general_chang: A darkened version of Chang brooding in the background while contemplating Gorkon's dying which he helped make happen. (brooding)
[In truth, it wasn't the traps themselves that troubled him. It wasn't hard to get through the traps, and K'Nera was sufficient trained by this stage to follow his lead. And they were challenging enough to keep his mind occupied. (Near death experiences are fun.)

But Narvin wasn't the only one to come up with the connection with Coyolxauhqui. His thoughts weren't of irritation, however, but mourning the loss of the only person he'd encountered on board who truly got him.

So he was sitting in this latest trap, apparently in no hurry to get out of it.]

[Chang grumbled slightly when the turbulence hit, particularly when the Admiral voice came through, but didn't feel particularly bothered by it. Nietzscheans were more like Klingons than the regular human, at least as far as senses were concerned.

It was the sharp pinch against his ribs that woke him up completely. He shifted to find out what it was and found that it was grown out of his arms.

He looked at it in curiosity, glancing over to where K'Nera had lain. The panther, woken by the turbulence, looked up at him in a similar questioning manner.

He got up, got mostly dressed (he didn't bother with trying to get the bone blades into sleeves) before he appears on the communicator, showing off the new blades.]

I would like to spar.

[Yes, he has the best priorities, ladies and gentlemen.]
general_chang: Chang after making a comment about wishing he could have met Kirk in battle. The complement doesn't translate (smile)
[Christopher is still in his Klingon get up for the most part. The patch is off, but not much else. It's actually quite warm and comfy and the Klingon make up is hard to get off anyway. He's well known as an actor who genuinely enjoys his work, is giving to his colleagues and has multiple stories from the hilarious to the bizarre to the downright raunchy.

He's lived and it shows in how he's ready to roll with anything. Any pranksters who catch him off guard get belly laughs for their trouble and the nervous newbies get tips and hints and he seems endlessly patient. He makes it seem effortless.

Right now he's shuffling a pack of cards.] Well, now, we appear to be experience technical difficulties for the foreseeable, so how about a game of poker?

[He smiles.]

[The Spanish vessel has come to dock. Her captain, General Chang, is a man not to be crossed and enjoys himself a little too much for him to quite fit in with his Naval colleagues. He's a fan of Shakespeare and will enjoy trolling the English most of all.

He grins.]

Ah! We dock here once more. Tell me, does the Barcaza's Commodore still dwell upon this isle?

What news?
general_chang: Irish actress, Pamela Brown, plays femme!Chang because she has the same superior. aloof attitude. (female)
[Chang is holding the communicator with one hand, the other stroking her panther, K'nera, who's trying to hog the lime light. Chang is amused. And covered by a fur blanket. Nothing else, but that seems to do the trick for now.] It appears we've encountered some 'turbulence' hmm? Even the Admiral desires too much of a good thing.

[That last is said with relish and a smirk, given that refers to a line of Shakespeare, by woman in a man's guise and is innuendo.]

The disturbance is very obvious for those whose minds are left intact.

[Her attention back on K'nera, Chang closes the connection.]

[Again?] This is tedious. Must humans continue to involve everyone in their little melodramas? Some of us do not thrive on cleaning up after you.
general_chang: Irish actress, Pamela Brown, plays femme!Chang because she has the same superior. aloof attitude. (human)
[Here is a woman with the most perfect of postures. She's Irving Braxton's wife but keeps her name as 'Chang'. She is not full of the Christmas spirit, though no one should expect this from her.] I would like to remind our esteemed neighbours that we are expected to continue living in our homes after the Christmas season and thus it is ill advised that we destroy it in the interim. [She's looking at you, Hoffman.]

[Private to Braxton.]

You will present yourself at dinner. I have a dish I wish you to try.

[ooc: Don't worry about replying, Farrah, if you're not up to it.]

[There's a large bat'leth in frame.Suitably lit, of course. Chang's voice is awed when he speaks.]

Kahless was the first Klingon who unified our people and was the greatest warrior of them all. He... used this sword, or one like it, to slay the tyrant Molor, skin the serpent of Xol, harvest his father's field and carve a statue of his beloved Lukara.

Four hundred years before I was killed, the Hurq stole it. But I have it here, left behind by Kahless himself. Perhaps he'll forge another.

[Private to 'Santa']

All those on this filter should receive something that awes them.
general_chang: Chang first greeting Kirk (kahless)
[Kahless is facing the camera in an imperious manner and peering out at you. It's clear that he does not know where he is and this fact does not please him.] Where am I? And what is this... creature? [He points the camera down at K'Nera who is not amused with this turn of events. He turns the camera back to him.]

Speak and Kahless will hear you.

My deaths recreated? A tribute indeed! Perhaps the Admiral would see fit to remove the bindings that keep us here, allow these deaths their true value, hmm?

[The images is crackling when it turns on and it doesn't look like it's on on purpose. All the viewer sees between the interference bursts are Chang's hands pouring something into a bowl, candles being the only constant source of light in between the malfunctioning lights. The candles light higher for a second and Chang's hands disappear back into the picture, only the vaguest hints of light framing his ridges, the tip of his nose some of his uniform.]

ghoS Kahless.

[This is Princess Rosamund, daughter of the King and Queen Who Weren't Very Good At It. Her father instilled in her the need to regain the kingdom by marrying a prince. But she wasn't going to go the normal route of getting cursed by a bad fairy, nope! She'll be getting her prince her own way, thank you!

By scouring the country for princes that need rescuing be it from dragon, giant worm, ogre or witch.

She's patting the end of her hair to keep them from smoking. Dragons, eh? She looks dissatisfied.]

Another dud. What's a princess to do to get a proper prince for a change?

[OOC: Ok, I'm feeling pretty rotten right now, so forgive any slowness on my part, please. I just wanted to get this up so I don't miss port. Feel free to respond if I organised plot, and I'll tag or backtag when I'm able. For my other characters (Omega, Slater and Seven of Nine) feel free to message me.]
general_chang: Chang enjoying the battle on his prototype Bird of Prey, signalling to his gunner to fire. (klingon)
This month is the Klingon month Soo'jen or 'Glory'. It is perhaps fitting that I should meet my other self in such a month. He did glory to his people and those who he encountered upon those ship.

Each attempt to strip his Klingon honour away from him was repelled and he found honour in resistance. Honour here, I find, is thin on the ground. There are few enemies to fight, beyond those childish to believe that a tantrum against our Exalted Admiral will gain them points or fear is a valued weapon where amnesia is common and ennui more so.

Death has no meaning. And I mean not in the human sense of the meaning of death, yes, I see the oblivion as much as a human or Vulcan or Time Lord would, but it is a mere shutdown, not unlike what an AI might experience should you deactivate it, but that is not meaning.

It is so limited. It pays no respect to the life led before it, reducing it to mere automatic functions to be reset if it 'malfunctions'.

I have never felt the desire to simply vanish before I arrived in this place.

In that other ship, there were enemies. True injustices to be fought, honour existed in the hearts of those inmates, it made them strong, powerful. Vital. Each of their deaths had meaning. Each smile, each act of generosity, had meaning.

I share my former warden's enthusiasm [Enthusiasm, blood lust, same difference, right?] to return, if only to restore meaning to my own existence, regardless of the death stolen from me.

It has given me a purpose.

[Filtered away from Sexby]

I do not expect understanding on this matter. I can only say that a soldier forms an attachment to his weapon, it is part of his identity, to hold a weapon, to defend with it, to make it an extension of self. Sentimental perhaps, but nonetheless a strong feeling.

We all know of Sexby, of his crimes, but of the man beyond them. Perhaps this version is a unpolished man, one given to baser instincts but we know him, even if this youth has not known us.

I have thus deemed him suitable to bear a blade. I am no warden, but I am a general. A warrior does not wield a weapon carelessly, particularly in a place unknown to him. Do not remove it. I warn you only as a courtesy.

[Instead of dinosaurs, Chang's object of interest is this, if a little more scuffed up. He holds it to the camera, holding it at various angles. His voice appears from behind the camera.] It is the month of Merruthj.

[He finds that funny. It is the Klingon for 'retreat'. The camera's focus goes to him.] It is the second time we have arrived at a world that humanity's grasp exceeded wisdom. All this... scientific progress, to be packaged and sold.

[His jaw tightens and he flings the box aside.]

[One minute he was stepping through the door, the next she was standing in the middle of a hallway. She looked down at herself, dressed in a suit. Then she brought her hand to her stomach. Her responses was loud enough to be heard down the hall.] Hu'tegh!
general_chang: A darkened version of Chang brooding in the background while contemplating Gorkon's dying which he helped make happen. (plotting)
[Chang has managed to evade capture. Thanks to the convo with Coyo earlier, he prepared by doing a little recon and forming a plan of attack. Not that he's keen to avoid his eventual fate, he just wants to get some fighting in first. He'll be in the Temple of Doom by the end of the day, but maybe he just wants to get them to call him brother before he does. It's an idle thought.

So he's being hiding in whatever holes he can find and picking the brothers off. Of course, they come back to life, but really that just makes it all the more interesting. In fact, he has managed to kill one of them permanently, a particularly stubborn one, and he was slightly peckish and what better midbattle snack than the heart of your enemy? Not that he's going to volunteer this information, but if you ask, he might tell you.

The video shows blackness. Then there's a scraping sound and a flash that lights him up briefly. Those quick to adjust will see that he's covered in blood, much of it not his own (it's not pink), and that he's sharpening his blade. Thanks, Aleera! This is confirmed when he does it again.

He seems pretty content.]

I have set my life upon a cast, and I will stand the hazard of the die. And today is a good day to die! [Lookit, he made a pun. This is how happy you've made him Coyo, he's even chuckling!]
