Place a captain in charge too young, people will die due to a mistake from inexperience. But I do not know how well that Kirk captains.

I think he's got a lotta life experience for bein' that young. Hell, I was a teenager when I started doin' what I do. It's a miracle I survived the first ten years. [And he almost didn't.]

But captain is an awful lot of responsibility at that age. How young were you when you joined the military?
