He had spoken of this to before, and while I realised it might be a good thing to bolster our defences at the time, when Praxis was destroyed, my perspective changed. I knew the Federation would like nothing more to offer assistance, insinuate themselves, and poison us in their own way.
From our position of weakness, there was nothing to stop them. So I took steps, collaborated with Starfleet officers to assassinate the Chancellor and blame it on one known for his racist stance.
Starfleet was quite willing to do this and further, kill their own president and blame that on us. I was killed before I knew how that panned out, but I have concluded that their plan failed and the peace conference was a success.
